Yesterday I went to the animal shelter and I fell in love with a six year old pit bull terrier mix named azalea. The second I approached her she sat next to me close enough so I could pet her. She was calm and loving. While I was petting her I became so overwhelmed with emotion that I began to cry. If only I lived in a larger house with a yard where I could provide her with the life she deserves to live. The shelter isn’t a no kill shelter sadly, and I am so afraid that she will be put down soon because of her age. She is so completely wonderful and I love this dog more than I thought I would walking into the animal shelter yesterday but I am grateful that I got to spend the short time I did spend with her.
